I thought the exact same thing when I first heard about this, and I damn near absolutely agree with everything in this blog. I hate everything about where this will take music. It definitely will not help artists at all. 
Maybe, I’m overreacting or jumping deep into conclusions but what I’ve come to learn (being a musician and just simply being a person that is absolutely in love with music) is that nobody gives a shit. It does go back to people pirating music, it’s disgusting. Now, we’re going to resurrect musicians with a hologram and perform?! I’m sure the thought behind this (in which I may be absolutely wrong when I say this…) may have been harmless. Maybe the thought was ‘this would be a neat idea…’ and even if it were, things like this always have and always will get out of hand.
